Development Wheel (DEW) is looking for acandidate for itsAlternative Livelihood Options (ALO) project which is a four-year project co-funded by the BIG Lottery Fund and Traidcraft Exchange. Officially commenced from November 01, 2012, the project is managed by Traidcraft Exchange (TX) and co-implemented by Development Wheel (DEW). The project will develop sustainable livelihoods for small-scale farmers, including women and ethnic minorities, in Netrokona, Mymensingh and Sherpur districts, Bangladesh. Application is invited from suitable candidate for the following position of the stated project. This position is for fixed term (maximum up to 31 October 2016). Driver(Location: Dhaka with frequent travel in project area): The position is contractual for 16 months and will directly report to the Executive Director. Brief Job Descriptions: The Driver will be responsible for driving the project vehicle and maintenance etc and will be directly report to the Executive Director. Broadly s/he would:
Attend for work mentally and physically capable of carrying out the driving role.
Present self for work smartly dressed in well maintained heath condition.
Drive the office vehicles with utmost care and safety.
Maintain vehicles in clean and polished condition
Fully responsible for maintaining the car in full and safe operating condition at all times
Arrange full servicing of the car quarterly and maintenance of log book
At least Class Eight pass
Must have 10 years driving experience
Must have valid driving license to ride car/ microbus
Must have good knowledge on vehicle maintenance
Must have good knowledge on inter-district communication network
Must have good health and physically fit for driving
