The Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) is driven by the vision of a world without malnutrition. GAIN is a Swiss based foundation that mobilizes public-private partnerships and provides financial and technical support to deliver nutritious foods to those people most at risk of malnutrition. The organization is delivering improved nutrition to an estimated 700 million people in more than 30 countries, half of whom are women and children.
GAIN fights malnutrition in Bangladesh through innovative and sustainable models that increase access to affordable nutritious foods and improve dietary quality among communities vulnerable to malnutrition
We are looking for two Interns, Nutrition Programs in our Bangladesh Office!
We are looking for an intern interested in supporting the implementation and achievement of deliverables of different projects in GAIN Bangladesh.
This internship is an opportunity for a young professional interested in global health and development to gain insights along with experience in working in a dynamic and multicultural environment.
Interns, Nutrition Programs
Participate in the partners’ meetings in order to draft minutes, document the proceedings and share ideas/thoughts;
Based on needs of the projects, visit field and monitor activities and document observations, write case studies and share with respective manager(s);
Assist in preparing reports, analyze data, prepare write ups and presentations and any other relevant documents based on skills;
Provide support to organize the visibility events- workshops, roundtables, Policy & Advocacy meetings, etc.
Assist in administrative works, e.g. drafting of contract, budget, follow up with partners and HQ;
Translate policy documents from English to Bengali and vice versa.
We are looking for someone with…
Preferably Masters in Nutrition, Public Health, Social Science, Development Studies, or MBA with analytical skills;
Strong communication skills and Fluency in English;
Excellent and effective writing skills in Bengali and English including typing documents/meeting/proceedings in Bengali;
Creative and analytical skills;
Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office including preparation of power point presentation;
Conscious and efficient in meeting deadlines and achieving results;
Ability to manage multi-task and apply practical problem-solving skills as needed;
Willing to travel anywhere in the country as per program needs.
