Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Preferable Major is Statistics/Mathematics) Work Experience:
1-5 years of related quality experience in a manufacturing environment
Experience with a focus on SPC analysis required
Ability to set up inspection plans based on evaluating the capability and processes in a factory.
Work with engineering and manufacturing during design to manufacturing of new products to develop key product characteristics and implement PPAP, PFMEA and control plans.
Experience in high volume manufacturing environment with experience applying SPC measurements that drive sampling plans using Cpk, resulting in process improvements that reduce scrap and minimize cost. Must have a thorough understanding of SPC, quality control, problem solving, auditing, process improvement, kaizen, supplier quality, containment, sorting, PPAP, new product launches, quality systems, and TPS / Toyota Production System. Skills:
SPC, PPAP, FAI, PFMEA, DOE. Sampling plans per MILS-STD-105
Supplier and customer support
Proficient with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and QC software such as MINITAB and Prolink.
Identify high risk and critical-to-quality suppliers or processes.
Establish improvement initiatives.
Ability to set up and use standard methodology to establish CpK baselines for all processes
Ability to set up inspection plans and audit process to assure all products and processes are capable
Ability to set up, run and do analysis of DOE testing
Ability to set up, run and do analysis using Gage R&R
Design and Set up of inspection plans and testing protocols.
Manage, control and resolve Supplier Corrective Actions (SCAR), Deviations, product warrants.
Interface with other groups such as Design, engineering, purchasing, customers.
Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data; making recommendations
