  • In this role, you will:
  • Support Relationship Managers (RM) to manage and grow the corporate business portfolio of the team in order to achieve financial performance along with the highest level of customer satisfaction
  • Liaison with internal customers and with important external stakeholders such as regulatory bodies especially with Central Bank and lawyers on legal matters
  • Assist Relationship Managers to evaluate customer business and prepare credit proposals
  • Maintain HSBC internal control standards, implement and observe Group Compliance Policy and maintain awareness of operational risk and minimize the likelihood of it occurring
  • Maintain due observance of HSBC Internal Control Standards, including the timely implementation of recommendations made by internal/external auditors and external regulators
  • Maintain awareness of operational risk including its identification, assessment, mitigation and control, loss identification and reporting in accordance with Group Operations Functional Instruction Manual (FIM)
  • Collect and utilize information on industry and other macroeconomic indicators towards preparation of credit proposals

Additional Job Requirements
  • To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
  • Sound knowledge of trade services, treasury, investment banking products, local regulations and exposure to corporate banking industry is crucial
  • Comprehensive knowledge of corporate credit is essential through exposure in a corporate lending environment Attendance to Applied Commercial Lending (ACL) required
  • Two to five years of experience in banking operations particularly in commercial banking, credit or risk
  • Ability to handle and resolve inter/intra departmental issues relating to Commercial Banking
