Salary and benefits     :Monthly Gross Salary will be 46,994/- with other admissible benefits such as festival bonus, provident fund, gratuity, medical benefit, group life insurance etc.
Job Summary
The Officer High Value (HV) Market Development is to explore fundraising opportunities for ActionAid Bangladesh (AAB) and manage, develop and facilitate the High Value Fundraising Program in order to maximize and diversify the organisation’s income. The incumbent must facilitate in designing projects as well as write concept notes and project proposals for the purpose of raising funds from  high value donors (in country and out of country Trusts, Foundations, Private Companies and High Net Worth Individuals). The incumbent must also provide support to and build linkages with programmatic areas of AAB, International Partnership Development (IPD) and relevant international desks within the ActionAid Federation internationally. The position holder is also required to assist with grants/contracts management for live contract/projects to assist the progrmme team to submit quality reports within stipulated deadlines.
Key responsibilities include (not limited to)
High Value Donor Relationship Building and Intelligence Gathering
  • Develop a High Value market scoping database to support AAB’s fundraising strategy and aid in the cultivation and solicitation of donors and prospects.
  • Build and develop working relationships with high value donors and prospects.
  • Ensure high value events are of high quality, well planned and well executed, ensuring appropriate support and resources are in place to do so
  • Work together with the Communications team to develop communications materials to prospects and donors
  • Appropriately engage the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), Country Director, AAB’s Board and AAB’s partners in donor networking cultivation and solicitation.
  • Network and meet with high net worth individuals and companies, foundations and trusts representatives and a range of influential people – representing and communicating ActionAid’s work at the highest levels with a view to identifying potential major donors and soliciting major donations to support the work of ActionAid
  • Conduct Company screening when required.
High Value fund raising; Expression of Interest, Concept Note, Project Proposal development
  • Ensure the production of the highest quality and most compelling project proposals, Concept Notes, Project Ideas and Expressions of Interests 
  • Work closely with the Program, Finance and M&E teams to design high quality projects and budgets
  • Ensure all project proposals meet AAB program led fundraising requirements
  • Work together with the Manager, Programme & Partnership Development to develop and update workplan and report on progress.
Grant Management
  • Assist Project Managers to write high quality project reports
  • Monitor all activities against planned targets and manage and advise Project Managers on significant changes
  • Provide monthly and quarterly update and progress reports as specified by Manager, Programme & Partnership Development
  • Meet regularly with Manager, Programme & Partnership Development to review work plans and report on progress
  • Arrange High Value Donor visits/events/online meetings when required
  • Work closely with finance for completion of KPI reporting (HV Local Income) for IS (International Secretariat)
Relationships
S/he will report to Manager – Programme and Partnership Development. S/he is expected to maintain functional relationship with his/her peers in team, priority and project management team. S/he must be able to communicate with other teams and units, both programme and function. S/he is expected to maintain relationship at the national level and Local Partners and other stakeholders at the local level.
Required qualification and competencies
Education
  • Graduation from a reputed university in social sciences, or a related field
Experience
  • At least two years in relevant experience specially in writing project proposals/concept notes and project reports
General Skills
  • Skills in writing Reports 
  • Expertise in conducting training/workshops
  • Sound in basic computer operating system
  • Ideas on development issues
  • Willing to visit field frequently
  • Orientation Gender sensitivity
  • Hard working
  • Team work
Technical Skills
  • Well conversant both way in Bangla and English
  • Fluent in operating computer based systems
  • Ability to provide effective inputs in planning & budget process
  • Sound in delivering effective Presentation
