Project Manager – I’MPOWER
Based in Nilphamari + Duration up to 31 March 2017 + Consolidated monthly salary Tk. 79,814 to Tk. 99,767
The I’MPOWER projects main objective is empowerment of girls to combat child marriage. It builds on Plan International Bangladesh’s comprehensive learning and expertise in this field. The project will look at scaling up of anti-child marriage interventions in Nilphamari district in partnership with the local administration, youth networks and Civil Society Organizations (CSO). The project is of strategic significance in developing evidence for scaling up of anti-child marriage and girl’s empowerment programs.
The Project Manager- I’MPOWER will have relevant experience to manage and implement integrated project in collaboration with other agencies and government. The Project Manager I’MPOWER will have the overall responsibility for providing technical and management support to the project team and implementing local partner. S/he will receive management and technical support through the Advisor – Child Protection based in Dhaka. Operational support will be provided through our field office in North Zone. This position holder will communicate with Programme Manager of Canada office and donor for reporting and donor compliance. The position will be responsible for overall quality implementation of the project and maintain budget. He/she will be focal person to do local level advocacy with government stakeholders and CSO networks. This position is also responsible for developing, documenting and packaging an effective and replicable integrated model for sharing, advocacy at local and national level.
For this role, the applicant should have at least a Master degree in Social Science/Human Rights/any other relevant subject from a recognized University with minimum 5 years’ experience in managing development projects in INGOs or reputed National NGOs on child marriage, education, youth engagement or related themes. Experience of advocacy, (social and political) accountability, M&E techniques (including theory of change), and effectively coordinating or managing a Network is required. The job requires at least 40% travel to projects areas, government offices and partner organization.
