Manager – Humanitarian

The Manager-Humanitarian mainly responsible to prepare Emergency Preparedness Plan (EPP) updates and review, as well as contribute on designing and planning of Emergency Response, EiE and recovery projects at field level. By coordinating with Humanitarian Director, s/he will lead, manage and motivate the emergency response team including partners for ensuring the deliver with high quality both development and response projects on resilience and emergency livelihood and support. As a key member of the sector, s/he will ensure national level coordination and collaboration with INGOs, UN Agencies, Consortium, Clusters, GOB and others Stakeholder. The incumbent will be responsible for capacity building of staff and preparing emergency project proposals and budgets along with planning and management of emergency procurement with ensuring quality. S/he will assist in preparing quarterly, annual and donor report, prepare FD2, FD7 and FD6 of different projects of emergency sector in consultation with GoB relation and finance sector. S/he will also support to the partners in preparing agreement and segregating partners budget, carryout partners’ capacity needs assessment, select appropriate partners for emergency response and recovery projects, as well as plan and organize capacity building training for partners’ staffs as and when required.
Qualifications and experience
At least 6 years of working experience in emergency field, including 3 years in management position
Experience and ability to manage emergency response, recovery and rehabilitation projects.
Good understanding of SPHERE, INEE and CHS Minimum standards
Excellent communication skills in English with proposal writing skills
Sound knowledge of rights based approaches to working with children
Should have the capacity to manage any challenging situation during emergency
Proven skills on managing project, budget, staff, and day to day financial activities
Demonstrated experience on partner management, and their capacity building
Master’s Degree, preferably in Social Science/Disaster Management or relevant discipline
